cannot install Hesk database

When I test my database connection with the "Test database connection" bottom, all is ok. I changed the hesk_settings.inc.php file with correct database information, upload it to the server, refresh and when tying to install the database I get the error can’t connect to MySQL database! Please make sure all database settings in hesk_settings.inc.php are correct!" I checked like 7 times over and over, retest the connection and it passes. I do not know what else can be wrong. Now, my domain has not been fully migrated it yet. Instead of www.beeintranet.com still shows the server name from ipower. would that might be the problem?

Hi,

Firstly please post your messages to the relevant forum (topics about Hesk don't go into "LinkMan" forum).

Secondly when I open your install.php file and click the "Test database connection" button I get "Cannot connect to database, please check your database settings." error, so the settings are not correct. You might want to double-check that.

Hi Klemen,

Sorry for posting my problem in the wrong forum. I just wat to let you know that I fixed my problem. In my password I had the letter "L" in lower case and the number one "1" when entering the information in the hesk_settings.inc.php file, my dreamweaver was showing the letter "L" and the number one the same character like the letter "L" is "l" and number one is "l". so, I chaged the number one for 2 and it worked fine.

Couldn't execute SQL: CREATE TABLE `hesk_categories` ( `id` smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL auto_increment, `name` varchar(20) NOT NULL default '', PRIMARY KEY (`id`) ) TYPE=MyISAM. Please make sure you delete any old installations of Hesk before installing this version!
