Keep theme when upgrading

Is there any way of keeping my current theme when I upgrade to version 2.4 which is coming out soon? I copied the directory + database when upgrading to the beta for testing purposes, and I noticed that my theme, including CSS went back to the default. In addition, is it possible to keep my custom statuses?

I'm afraid any customizations will be reset.

I would actually recommend installing version 2.4 in a different folder, then copy these files from your version 2.3 over to the 2.4 folder:
- all images you modified
- rename your 2.3 hesk_style_v23.css style file to hesk_style_v24.css and copy everything under

/* newly introduced styles (version 2.4) */

from the original 2.4 style file to your modified one
- use your 2.3 footer and header

However, any changes you made to the php files will need to be performed again manually. Images may also need some tweaking as they have been changed n 2.4 to show properly in multilingual versions.

I'm finishing version 2.4 at the moment, so it's too early to talk about 3.0 features
