Update to gbook1.7

On upgrade to gbook 1.7 and following instructions as per 'gbook17/readme.htm#help, upgrade instructions' my webpage results in the following error message 'Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '=', expecting ']'. Can you please advise

You will have to post the exact error message and URL of your guestbook - this just says you have a parse error but doesn't say where.

Thanks for your reply. However that problem is now resolved since re-downloading the gbook1.7 file.
I do have a problem changing file access (CMOD) as advised in the update instructions. My attempts are met with the message '< 550 Could not change perms on /htdocs/guestbook/apptmp: No such file or directory'

Do you have a folder called "apptmp" inside your "guestbook" folder?

If not, try creating a new empty folder called "apptmp".
