I am trying to install HESK 2.3 on a new domain. I created a new database and user and gave that user all the privileges when I added it to the database. The issues is on step 3 during the installation. I have filled in all the information correctly and I'm getting this errror: MySQL said: Access denied for user 'wizardhe_wIheLpd'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Is that an issue with the script? I asked my hosting if there were issues with my database, but there weren't, so I don't know what to do now.

Leslie,

Try changing MySQL password for the new account and make it less complex. I ran into a similar problem, but was able to proceed with the installation by changing the password to alpha-numeric values.

Yes, for security reasons some chars (like < > & " ) are encoded before saving and may not work correctly with MySQL.
