Blank page after upgrading to php gbook 1.7

Post by yoramdavid »

Script URL: http://www.yoal.net/livrodevisitas/gbook.php?a=sign
Version of script: gbook 1.7 (from PHPJunkyard)
Hosting company: WebHost, Lda
URL of phpinfo.php: http://yoal.net/livrodevisitas/phpinfo.php
URL of session_test.php: http://yoal.net/livrodevisitas/session_test.php
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution:
"Blank page", "White page", "nothing displays"

Write your message below:
I had gbook 1.6 before working fine but with a lot of spam. For that reason I updated to version 1.7 following very carefully all the instructions, but all I got is a white page on Firefox 5.0 or a "HTTP 550" (Internal Server problem?) error in IE8.

I then deleted all the files I had on the server and did a fresh install again following the instructions carefully.
I still only get a blank page.

Any help is welcome,

Thank you.

It could be an error in your settings.php file, try uploading the original one again (don't make any changes to it).

For more information about the error you will probably need to look at your server error log, most web hosts allow access to it through the hosting control panel.

I have downloaded again the files from the site and replaced the "settings.php" with the original one.
Now it works.
