Image RENAMED by click counter to click.php

Post by Benmara »

Script URL: http://hearoyisrael.net/hebrew/tsiytsith.html
Version of script: 1.2
Hosting company: iPage
URL of phpinfo.php: ??? I don't have this :(
URL of session_test.php: ??? or this:(
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: images, pictures, download, jpg, jpgs

Write your message below:

Have an odd problem...when I set up Click Counter to count the DL's of a jpg file it RENAMES the file to: click.php I had to add another set of instructions to tell people to change the file name from click.php to anyname.jpg.

Here is my code:
<p align="center">
<a href="http://www.hearoyisrael.net/zclickcount ... k.php?id=3" target=new>
<img src="http://hearoyisrael.net/img/download.gif" border="0" width="100" height="22" alt="Download this image file for learning to tie tsiysith"></a>
</p>
<p align="center">
<span style="color: #000020">Tsiysith downloads since 06-01-2009: <script language="Javascript">ccount_display('3')</script></span>
</p>

Here is the code I set in ADMIN panel:
Link URL:3 http://hearoyisrael.net/hebrew/ztassels.jpg

1 Set click count to a number of your choice. CCount will continue counting clicks on this link from the new number.
2 Link name is a unique name for this link (max 40 chars including spaces). This name will be displayed as "Web page" in the statistics. If you don't choose a name the link URL will be displayed.
3 This is the URL to which your visitors will be redirected after clicking the click tracking link (click.php?id=3).

Here are the instructions:
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a glitch in the counter code that names the file "click.php" when you try to download it. Don't panic, merely save it to the folder you want it in, and RENAME it tassels.jpg -or- anynameyouwant.jpg. Just make sure you change the .php to .jpg. Do not forget the (dot)! I apologize for the inconvenience.

I know I am doing something wrong, but am at a loss to figure out what it is.
As always love your scripts

Try using this alternate click.php file that uses another type of redirects:

Benmara,

Thank you, but it is all Klemen's work.
I am just someone like you who has been using some of Klemen's scripts.
And because I could not donate when i was first using his scripts, I decided to give something back by helping other users at the phpjunkyard forum.

Greetings,
Henrie
I do not monitor the Gbook forums regularly anymore since I do not use the Gbook script myself anymore for a long time. But it helped me a lot in learning to understand php.
