1…How do I know what version of HESK I have on my system?

I thought updates were automatic, and did not realize I had to be subscribed to the newsletter to get updates, so I feel I am a number of versions behind.

2…How do I upload and install the new version now?

I can’t find any instructions on that in the Knowledge Base anywhere.

You seem to be running version 2.2 (latest), you can confirm this by logging into admin panel and checking version number on the "Settings" page.

Updates are not done automatically, they need to be installed manually. Things go differently on a server then on a local PC, security policies usually don't allow automated updates to take place (if I was a bad guy and updates were done automatically, I could easily update your help desk with malicious code ).

So, updates need to be run manually by downloading the latest version and following instructions in the "readme.html" file. However, Hesk is currently updates just once or twice per year so you shouldn't be far behind.
