Help with CC please. Won't accept my admin pw

I followed the instructions completely. but when I put in my admin password it keeps giving me an error that the password is wrong. I am out of ideas on what to do. I was hoping someone here could please help me out

Download file "settings.php" from your server, open it in notepad and you will see the correct password in the line starting with

$settings['apass']

When typing in the password double-check that you don't have Caps Lock active, as passwords are CaSe SeNSiTiVe.
