I wonder if you can link in such a way that a category is preselected and non changable. Example.
For regular support I want to send members to:

http://www.247netmarketinggroup.com/support

However in some cases I want to send them directly to a category though a link on a page. Something like:

http://www.247netmarketinggroup.com/sup ... tegoryname>
something liek that is what I'm looking for. Is that by chance supported in the script by default? Or do I need to get a coder to make this possible?

To generate links that will preselect a category go to Admin panel > Categories and click the "< >" link in the category list under "Options".

The user will still be able to change the selection though. To change that you will need to hire someone to modify the code.
