new link goes to actual domain.com website instead

Post by sjwaterton »

Script URL: ccount
Version of script:latest, downloaded 3/31/09
Hosting company:powweb.com
URL of phpinfo.php:unknown
URL of session_test.php:danoconnor.com
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution:domain.com, incorrect link

Write your message below:  Admin panel OK. After I create a new link, such as http://www.domain.com/ccount/click.php?id=1 and replace my old one, site visitor is taken to the domain.com homepage. Add 6 links, same result 1 through 6. I put the ccount files in a ccount directory within the root directory of my website. Help!

In the settings file you need to change "www.domain.com" to YOUR OWN domain name! In your chase it should be
http://www.danoconnor.com/ccount/click.php

and the corresponding link:

http://www.danoconnor.com/ccount/click.php?id=1

I have made all the settings correctly but I do not know where or how to let the picture goes to the target website. For example I made an ad on a website and I want, upon clicking the pic. to be taken to a website. I have made the settings in the settings.php to http://baghdadbusinesscenter/ccount/click.php. I am using Dreamweaver. I would very much appreciate your help.

http://baghdadbusinesscenter/ccount/click.php is missing the domain name ("baghdadbusinesscenter" should end with a domain extension). Where exactly is your CCount installed (what URL you type in your browser to open the admin panel)?

Thanks a lot Klemen

You may disregard the domain extension, as I only forgot it. This was not the problem actually. The problem is that I forgot how I set it and used freely two years ago. Now I remembered how to do it. Also, after I bought your lisence for Ver 1.2, for removing the "Powered by" I found that you have given a better explanation for setting the program. Thanks again Klemen
