Can Link Manager be inserted into one of my website ?

Hi do you mean included in your site as a php include?
If so it realy can't ... as by default it was coded to use headers and footers to give it the same look and feel of your site. I coded a special mod for a client that can be directly included in a page.

So it can be done if you mod it a bit but I took it a step further as I changed the way it works a bit as well, so it can be done but I dont know of a quick fix to do so that works correctly I know a few that tried to just include it by changing a few lines but that did not work too well.

This is an example only of a highly modified LinkMan it never bounces out of the page and can be tightly integrated into a site. I did this as I prefer the include method myself over header footer methods I think the next version my be includable as I have mentioned this to Klem.

Im sure Klem will comment on this shortly.

I should mention that if it is used in a commercial install and you don't want any linkback at the footer then a lic must be purchased as was done for my clients site. You can even donate if you use the script and find it useful as Klem puts a lot of work into maintaining this forum and providing amazing support for his free scripts I must say second to none.

Hey Klem can we maybe use some of my mod ideas in the new version might be cool, when that some day comes out.

I am also not sure exactly what you want to achieve - to have links displayed on your homepage or to have the links page look like other pages of your website?

If the latter there are two possibilities:

1. copy all the code you want to appear before links in the header.txt file and all the HTML code you want to appear after links in footer.txt file. It might need some more tweaking (like correcting paths/urls to images and other pages)...

- OR -

2. you can use the code from links.php in a custom page of your website and correct paths to settings.php file and linkinfo.txt file.

If you are not familiar with HTML and PHP you can hire someone to do it for you. I am afraid I can't help not even for a payment as I have other high priority work (as usual...). If no one here contacts you I would recommend posting a project with detailed description of what you need HERE.

@DC: I know you know I know your mod well so know this: I will consider and most likely use some of your know-how for the next version but who knows when it will be available

He did not realy say, but too me it looks like the site might be based on an html based template page thats parsed. So maybe he is looking for another way to get the script to be part of his site lets see what he posts back.

I may be able to help out a bit if I get some spare time myself and see exactly what he is looking to do.

@ Klem O yes I know your mega busy how's the Hesk project going?
