I like LinkMan, but instead of just creating a list of backlinks to a specific domain, I would like to use it as base for verifying inlinks to multiple domains.
Basic features:
1. Add/Edit general info and comments about inlink site and owner.
2. Add/Edit URL where the inlink is placed and possibly required link text (within the a_href_tag).
3. Add/Edit destination URL of the inlink, could be any domain and page.
4. Automatic and periodic checks to verify that the inlink is valid (not using nofollow attribute etc.), i.e. properly adding link value to the destination URL mentioned in item 3.
Of course, more features could be added, such as fetching and showing available info about the site with inlink and the destination site and such, but the above is the basic functionality that I'm looking for.
These are my questions to the owner and members of this forum:
1. Can LinkMan be modified (easily) to provide what I'm looking for.
2. Is there any other script you know of, web based or even managed from a config file, that can do this.
3. Are you (as a developer) interested in creating a script with the mentioned features?
I'm sure that there are others out there that would like to run such a script to verify their inlinks. They would, just as I am, probably be prepared to pay something to get it, at least if some additional features can be added than just the basic ones.
Link verification tool for multiple destination URLs
Why not just use a windows based link checking program to do what you ask there are many and they run on your own computer. if I understand you correctly that would seem to be your best bet in my opinion ...

I've stumbled upon a handful of those Win apps while looking for a web based solution and yes, one of them could be a last resort for me if I can't find a suitable script. Can you recommend any of these apps based on first hand experience?DC wrote:Why not just use a windows based link checking program to do what you ask there are many and they run on your own computer. if I understand you correctly that would seem to be your best bet in my opinion ...
Just as I rather place my vital information and notes in a personal wiki than in local files, I would prefer to have a web based link verification solution in order to gain access to it from any computer/pda/smartphone.
You'd probably have to have a custom script written for something like this, I don't know of any.
