email attachments

what settings are needed so that attachments are actually attached to the email notification sent to the customer notifying them of the reply?

In Hesk, attachments are always linked to, not attached. There is currently no setting to override this behavior.

see viewtopic.php?p=30813#p30813 - per this thread there is no customer tickets page and no adverse consequences so is there any other way to get the attachments to be included in an email instead of linked? is it perhaps allowed for in the Cloud version of Hesk?

Unfortunately, there is no built-in way to include it, not even in Hesk Cloud.

The links point to download_attachment.php directly, so it should work even if you have disabled index.php and ticket.php files.

many clients won't be allowed to click on links or links will be blocked by their email security software so need to be able to include actual attachments. is this something that can be addressed in a future release? or is it possible to get some custom development for this if used with Cloud+

Unfortunately, we don't have the manpower to implement this quickly for you, even in the cloud.

The quickest way to get this working would probably be to hire a 3rd party developer to create this feature for you and host the help desk yourself.

thanks for the reply. not looking to take on private development as would defeat the very purpose of utilising Hesk. also not looking to go live for 3 months at least, so not so urgent. if it can be included in the next version release, that would be awesome. please keep me posted if that happens 8)
