Hesk Email Not Sending (Connection Refused Error)

When I generate tickets on hesk, the email notification does not work; this has been happening for quite some time. I hosted Hesk with Godaddy and used their email services.
After they discontinued their email services I did not want to use their Microsoft 365 subscription which Godaddy was offering as I already had office365 services.
So I decided to use my office365 subscription's email to send email using smtp and I configure using the following article: https://www.hesk.com/knowledgebase/?article=93

But unfortunately was not able to be successful configure and always got an error of connection refused error of 111.

Please anyone can guide me on how to use start email notification on ticket creation.

The problem is GoDaddy. Their shared hosting does not allow connections to any outbound SMTP server except to their own servers.

I don't have a better solution than recommending finding a new web host. No PHP script can connect to an external SMTP server at GoDaddy.

Dear Klemen,

Thank you your response. Would I face this email problem if I move to cloud version of Hesk?

Is there another way to use Godaddy and keep email services running?

The only way that would work with GoDaddy is if you used their own mail servers (email hosted at GoDaddy).

There is no such limitation in the Hesk Cloud, we have numerous clients who use their custom mail servers, Office 365, Gmail etc...
