This feature (from MFH) is very valuable to me and its absence in ver 3 is why I have not upgraded. Are there plans to add this in the near future?
I have applied the mods provided by others in this forum to open images in a new tab but unfortunately, it is not efficient for my needs.

Where exactly do you need inline images?
Hesk 3.4.2 has support for HTML in knowledgebase articles, admin replies and emails. You may want to install a test version of 3.4.2 somewhere and see if it works for you before upgrading your existing installation.

My apologies for not being more clear...I wish to see attachments (images only) as inline images as they were in MFH. The newest version shows attachments as links only. And without mods, you are required to download in order to open them. I didn't realize how much I depend on that feature before I started testing version 3.

Ah, I understand now.
Correct, this is not supported in Hesk (yet). It will be at one point, but as mentioned, we are working on some other, more urgent and complex features at the moment, sorry.

I'd like to add a +1 to this one. Many of our people copy and paste a screenshot into the email they send to the help desk, and then all we get is something like "cid:image001.jpg@01DA026E.92E54CD0", which is ultimately unhelpful. If these could be converted to attachments, or shown inline, all of those would be acceptable. But not being able to see is making a blind to what they see.
Thank you!

Can you send a sample of such an email to pop3test AT hesk DOT com? Will check why the inline image is not being picked up.
P.s.: you do have "Save embedded files as attachments" enabled in admin panel > Settings > Email, right?
