I have my own site I don't understand the web developer side of it.. so I am not sure what information I am suppose to give for this issue to be resolved.
here's my problem - recently I installed an app my guestbook. , it replaced my index page and now I have a 404 error page not found. , I have uninstalled the app, but I still am unable to publish my site. instead of http://mysite.com it now shows in the address bar http://mysite.com/gbook.php
can anyone help please?

The guestbook should always be installed in a separate folder such as "gbook" or "guestbook", as instructed in the installation guide.

Not sure what the composition of your website is, but you may need to delete file "index.php" and/or replace it with your own (original) index.php file.

Oh, and you will also probably need to clear your browser cache as the old index.php (redirecting to gbook.php) is likely cached in your browser.
