Staff reply - "Submit as:" and Custom statuses

Hello and thank you for the great product.
I have a doubt about the page where a staff member replies to a ticket
At the bottom of the page there is a link "Submit as:" that opens a little window with a set of statuses.
Unluckily I can't see the custom statuses I've created (I can see them in the right sidebar, under Ticket Status).
Is this a specific choice or am I missing something?
