Have you searched THIS FORUM for your problem: yes, but could have missed it....

If so, what terms did you try:

I truely appreciate your scripts, they are great for people that dont know the first thing about writing scripts but want to supply interactive features to websites. Thanks for giving.

But my situation and question is this....

I seem to have a spammer robot that signs my guestbook every single day for the past 2 weeks or so. They post the same thing, from the same id, listing the same url. So everyday, I get an email notice, I go to the site, and delete this annoying post. My question is, is there something I can do to block this one spammer from posting on my site??

Thanks for the help.

If you read my old posts you would have already know that:

1. the security code (assuming you have SPAM filter turned on) prevents robots from automatically submitting the GBook (and it does work, the amount of spam before that filter was starting to get huge).

2. if somebody actually visits your website and enters the security code along with his spam message then you cannot stop him from posting. You could block his IP, check in the GBook add-ons forum, there is a version that provides IP blocking.
