Remove Hesk Admin Area Authentication

Hello there,

I use two versions of Hesk. One version is what the clients see and another is what the staff see. They are two different installations connected to the same database. I have modified the staff version of Hesk so that it only displays support tickets from what are created in the client view.

The staff version of Hesk is located on the extranet. You sign-in using your Active Directory Account in order to access the extranet. How can I make it so that the authentication is scrapped? I would just like it to open the admin area when you go to the URL. Everything will still be secure because you can only access it via the Staff Extranet. At the moment there are essentially two different layers of security which are not currently necessary and my staff has been complaining of having to enter two completely different sets of credentials, which I can understand.

Many Thanks.

You would need to integrate Hesk into active directory authentication (LDAP). It's currently not supported by Hesk, although some modifications have been posted to the forums before. I'm not sure if they still work though.

Your best bet would probably be to hire a PHP developer to try to add LDAP to your Hesk admin panel, for example by posting a project to sites like upwork.com or freelancer.com
