1- In the settings "Require email" is "off"
2- Then when trying to submit it is not validated yet because the email field is not filled in
3. If not a valid email address it als says that

Did I miss something or how Do I get rid of the complete email field. That would be even better for me

Your email field is "required" in the HTML:

Got you, ...found it in the index.php
Is there a way to just disable the whole field or to let it stop checking if it is an email address format? so that I can use the field for something else?
