How to disable the required field message

How to disable the required field message "name="message" id="message"" ?
If you have version 2.7.x:
Admin panel > Settings > Help desk tab > Features > Require message and set it to OFF (not required) or to hide (remove from the form so it's not even optional).
For older versions I recommend updating to 2.7.x or you will need to modify source code...
