No, HESK currently does not support sending attachments directly in email.

Recently purchased HESK and it is very close to do exactly what I need. However when I attach a document in HESK and reply to customer the attachment does not get sent. Is this feature supported?

Attachments are currently not added to emails, but this will likely be an option in the future.

Note that if you edit the email templates to include written message (%%MESSAGE%% tag), direct links to attachments will be added to the email.

Unfortunately my HESK will not be hosted publicly. All my customer correspondence will be done via email. They will not have access to the panel. Any idea when this feature will be added? It is the only thing keeping us from going live.

Can't really say, sorry.

It's not one of the priorities now, to be honest. If that is keeping you from launching you could look for alternatives o perhaps hire a developer to set it up for you.
