Tracking ID

Hello :D

I would like to change / modify the "tracking ID"
So it only contains 5 digits.
And no letters or (-)

Can I do it or is it impossible?

The current "tracking ID" is too long and cumbersome. When customers call and ask for their support case.
So take it too long and in many cases, customers are confused and it takes longer to enter the tracking ID.

Hope that it is possible and if necessary. someone who can help me with this question :)

The has been a lot of discussion about this in the forums already.

The short version:

- tracking ID is a password, so it has to be long and random

- there is a sequential "Ticket number" next to tracking ID when viewing a ticket (example: 492)

- customers can give you the simple ticket number (492) and staff can search tickets based on ticket number ("Find a ticket" form, search in "Ticket number")
