Hello. I have purchased and had HESK installed for about a year and I love it. Recently, my end users were complaining because they could not get on the Help Desk. I went to look myself and when I open up our Help Desk at http://10.2.50.151/support, the web browser keeps trying to load HESK but fails. If I go to the server and attempt to connect to the localhost, same thing. The Help Desk is down and I am not able to figure this one out. Any words of advice?

Also, what ports need to be open for the Help Desk? Maybe this is the problem? I just recently installed a new Endpoint Protection upgrade for our servers here.

Thanks,

~ Jeff

To the user, help desk is just a web page. No special ports are required (just the regular server http port, usually 80).

If you can't connect to the localhost (open a HTML/PHP page on your server) something is probably wrong with the server setup and this is not something we can help with.

You need to make sure your server is working properly:
- first you need to be able to open a simple HTML page on the server
- then you need to be able to run a simple PHP page
- if both above of above is working, you can start testing more complex scripts, like HESK.
