Hi I have this mod to have a insert a ticket as resolved /admin/new_ticket.php. For some reason when it is enabled, particularly the posting_function.inc.php mod. email piped tickets do not get a status assigned at all and break my ability to see them at the home screen in admin.

This is how it works.

Here's where I lose my ability to see a ticket created by e-mail at the admin home. I have to search for it.

Something to do with this posting functions file allows me to insert tickets as resolved but breaks my ability to see tickets.. I checked the database.. The reason the tickets are not showing up on the page is is because no status is getting assigned, it's not NULL but just blank.

Here is my changes to /inc/posting_functions.inc.php

Also my database has a default value of "4" for the status column in tickets.. How is the e-mail piping bypassing that and getting inserted with a blank status?

I suppose I could just force a status on the pop3 fetching. I searched the email folder for hesk_POST I cannot determine where the code is that posts the email into the tickets database.

You probably are trying to insert an invalid status value to the database.

You should double-check that (in inc/posting_functions.inc.php) the status column and value are set correctly. For example if your `status`, is 14th in the fields list, the value '".hesk_dbEscape($ticket['status'])."', must also be on the 14th in the list.

Because if you have first in line 64 and second in line 104 then you are probably trying to insert

I edited it to be the 5th field of both field list... still inserted with no status value.
Hoping this format of my /inc/posting_function.inc.php works okay.

ah crap, I fix. I had to change what I had on the VALUES line. Now it inserts as a status of New with the actual integer 0 in the database.. Shows up on my main screen now... WOW. I had to do this in the admin_submit_ticket.php too for the resolved setting to work earlier, not sure why it didn't click until now...
