Selecting and Deleting multiple posts?

hello,
I am a web designer/developer and am working on a new clients website that uses gbook 1.43
and one of his complaints is that he has to manually delete old or unwanted posts. You know click on the delete button put in the password and click the delete this entry button rinse and repeat as needed
is there any way to automate this? so he wouldn't have to delete each one individually? or a setting that will limit the amount of posts and automatically delete old one? he has 623 entries displayed on 63 pages.I am going to upgrade him to the latest version and was looking in the the settings.php file four settings to limit the total amount of posts. Any help or suggestions with this would be greatly appreciated and a donation will be forthcoming.
also I noticed some posts were just gibberish like this:Ìàãàçèí îáóâè: ðåìîíò æåíñêîé îáóâè Liska (Ëèñêà), æåíñêàÿ îáóâü íåäîðîãî Liska (Ëèñêà), skechers æåíñêàÿ îáóâü Liska (Ëèñêà), æåíñêàÿ îáóâü 43 ðàçìåðà Liska (Ëèñêà), çèìíÿÿ æåíñêàÿ îáóâü èíòåðíåò ìàãàçèí Liska (Ëèñêà).
