Auto Login? or customers assign?

Hi all,
I need your help!!!
I'm a noob to the HESK helpdesk system and I'm wanting to know if it is possible for my customers to assign the tickets... Currently un-logged in people cannot assign tickets to any of the staff... I have to do it...
I have a generic login in place that allows people to login and use the "+ New Ticket" option themselves which does allow them to assign tickets... but this is in no way ideal...
I don't want to assign as I'm too busy to pick the same people over and over again... and I want our account managers (customers!) to put their requests into specific people... I don't want to use auto assign because people need to pick certain people out for their requests but auto assign will load balance the tickets meaning similar tickets will get sprayed out to everyone!
Argh - just need the assign field in the non-logged in ticket submit page....
