Script URL: http://www.rabba.com/helpdesk
Version of script:
Hosting company:
URL of phpinfo.php: http://www.rabba.com/helpdesk/phpinfo.php
URL of session_test.php: http://www.rabba.com/helpdesk/session_test.php
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: many including - settings, cannot save, saving, etc.

Write your message below:

For some reason, everything is working okay EXCEPT I cannot make changes to the SETTINGS. Well, I can make changes, but I cannot SAVE. I simply see a blank screen that never returns. If I press BACK I go back to the settings screen. Yes, the files that are supposed to be writable are saying writable.

Sorry if I have not included enough info, but I am unfamiliar with scripts etc. and may not know how to explain myself properly.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bill

You did better than most people who post here for the first time

The phpinfo file looks fine.

Could you check if you have a file called "error_log" in your "helpdesk/admin" folder? If yes, could you open it in Notepad and see what it says?

Hi.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I apologise that I couldn't look into this until now.

There is NO error log file in that directory or any other directory in the folder.

Just in case, I also tried going to settings and saving it in both IE and Safari, but with the same result.

If you would like to try it yourself, the admin settings are set back to default for now.

Thanks again.

Bill

PLEASE help me.

I have purchased this software but cannot use it.

We need to get this running. I either need to move to another software or get this working.

Please.

Bill

Not sure what the problem is, perhaps the request gets blocked by a server-side settings, maybe mod_security?

If you could give me FTP access to the server (into the helpdesk folder only) I will be happy to try to troubleshoot it. If you agree, please don't post any FTP details here, rather email them to me or send in a private message.
