I have tried all you have told empressrose but I seem to get a different error. Like her I have made sure that I have the file set to rw-rw-rw.

I have also uploaded the php file you told her to. I have not changed any "option" settings.

However you will see (if you try my "test site") that I get error
entries.txt failed to open stream: permission denied in ....../guestbook/gbook.php on line 438

Hi - I am not 100% sure what I have done but while you were a sleep (as I am in the UK) I have fixed the problem. All is working now after reinstalling & reinstalling. I thank you for your help - seem as great bit of software. Warm regards Ken from www.vault-house.com
