Blank/missing text in template after upgrade to 2.2??

What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: missing text, missing fields, blank text, 2.1 to 2.2 upgrade, etc.

Hi. I upgraded one of my two help desks from 2.1 to 2.2. Everything is *operating* right, mechanically speaking, meaning that I can still submit and reply to tickets (I think). Yet, some of the text is now missing from random fields and places within the install. Since my Hesk is password-protected, here's a video showing examples: http://screencast.com/t/jcaF6EmWhw
I've re-uploaded all the files (except the Hesk settings.inc.php file) and installed the upgrade again.
I've turned debug on manually by directly editing the settings file (because I couldn't submit the Settings page in the Admin panel to do it, due to the language files field being blank). There were no errors reported in the Admin panel in debug mode.
I checked my MySQL database / tables, and they all returned an "OK" status.
How can I fix this, please?
