What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: admin password
Write your message below:
I am trying to view an email address and am prompted for my admin password.
I made sure caps lock is off.
I fetched the settings.php from the website gbook folder.
I changed the line:
/* Password for admin area */
$settings['apes']=*******************************;
I put settings.php back to the website gbook folder.
I still get "Wrong Password!" when I use that password.
-addendum after further research:
In the words of the great Roseanne Roseannadanna, "Never mind!"
I notice ['apes'] is supposed to be ['apass'] - I changed that and put back and voila it worked.

Re: Wrong Password!
Glad you got it working. I removed your password from the post, but you should change it anyway!
You should also upgrade your guestbook to version 1.7 and make sure you have all the required files uploaded (because it seems the style file is missing hence your guestbook doesn't look right).
