New Feature?

Hi there,

Just a quick question.

I was thinking today, it would be great to have a "Known Issues" section on the main Hesk screen. Just under the "Submit a new ticket" and "View Existing ticket" but above the Knowledge base panel.

For example, a user logs an issue, if this is something effecting many users it can be published publicly so those who want to create a new ticket can see it's already being dealt with.

I'm just thinking of ways to cut down on duplicate tickets! :D

Do you think this is something that could be developed as part of the core? Or could someone code this as a modification?

That's actually a good idea. I am planning to add something like a "news" section on the main page and it could be used for such messages as well.

Can't give any promises if and when this will be available though.

No problem, I appreciate your busy. I'm glad you liked the idea.

In the meantime I just put together a very basic java scroller that I can update the users with. No ideal but it'll do! :D

I'll keep an eye on development. ;)
