Hello,

I am a first time user of the gbook and have uploaded 1.7 to my server. All works well and i am very impressed with this free script you provide.

I am however having a small issue of adding new emoticons to the selection already available. I have followed the instructions and added the required coding to the emoticon.php file ("code" => "image.gif",) in this case i added:

":!earl:" => "earl.gif",
":!toejam:" => "toejam.gif",

to the bottom of the list. When adding a new comment to the gbook, i can manually type :!earl: or :!toejam: and the animated gif appears, but if i bring the pop up box open for more emoticons the new emoticons dont appear in the list. I have read various guides from the forum pointing to a emoticon.htm file which isnt available with version 1.7, so im abit confused how i add these new emoticons to the popup when i click more.

Any assistance is appreciated,

Kind Regards,

Lee.

Hello Lee,

Indeed, the emoticon.htm file does not exist anymore with the new 1.7 version.
Adding the code you posted at the end of the list works here. So i don't know why it does not work for you.

I see you now put them at the beginning of the list and it works. But putting them at the end should also work.

Greetings,
Henrie

Hello Hernie :)

Thank you for the response.

I tried again and yes they now appear, i have no idea why, possibly the server didnt update quick enough!

Sorry for wasting your time on this one, but thanks again for the quick response.

Kind Regards,
