What is the gizmo called thats tells the person viewing and waiting on a webpage to download how much time is left til the page is completely downloaded. I've seen percentage's, meters, clocks, hourglasses, etc. I am looking for a script to add to my page for this simple function.
thanks

Not sure, try searching Google for things like "page download meter" or similar. You are probably looking for a Javascript / DHTML script.

But if you want a friendly advice avoid such scripts (if it's for a commercial website it should be forbidden by law  ), they are nothing but annoyance to most visitors. And if you annoy your visitors within the first few seconds they arrive most are bound to leave elsewhere.

That depends if its a flash page then it is coded in as part of the timeline and senses exactly when the flash intro has completed loading.

For that it makes sense for other uses with js or DHTML not a good idea.
I like that forbidden by law, ya watch out for the download meter police :-)
