Hello:
I downloaded and installed the linkman script just fine. However I'm having a problem getting into the admin panel. I've changed the settings (the very first one has to do with getting into admin panel) with my password and yet after saving and bringing up the admin page and typing in the password that I changed the setting to, it says wrong password. I've shortened it and tried various different password combinations but it just keeps saying wrong password. Any ideas? The chmod is at 0644 with the settings page. The linkinfo.txt is 0666.
Also what page do I send subscribers to?
Thanks
Don
P.S. PLEASE RESPOND ASAP- NEED TO GET GOING- BEEN TRYING FOR 2 DAYS TO GET PAST THIS POINT. NEED TO GET PAGE RANKED SO I CAN MOVE ON. 8)

For start you can provide the information you were asked for:

Script URL:
Version of script:
Hosting company:
URL of phpinfo.php:
URL of session_test.php:

If you change password back to the default one "admin" does it work? Also note that passwords are CaSe SeNsiTiVe.

By the way this is a free script and free support so don't expect a 24/7 support. Even if you use UPPERCASE LETTERS TO WRITE MESSAGES and words like ASAP won't help.

Linkman Admin Panel working now!

Hi:
It must have been a server problem. I had written you a 15 min response, including apologies and when I checked the link for you to see if it was working, IT WAS IN FACT WORKING, Go Figure. Host gator hadn't contacted me well up until the time that I had written the response. So It seems to be resolved. Do you have a donation url or something. I didn't mean any disrespect with my post,as it seemed to have had an offensive quality. I greatly appreciate everything that I have gotten by these means. You people are wonderful contributors. I work very hard and seem pushed most times and when it comes to scripts I tend to get slowed a bit trying to understand and utilize them. Forgive me for any inconvenience's. I will however contribute a donation.
Thanks

Yeah, you must also understand my position, I get similar posts all the time when people don't even read the readme in full and then expect a top-notch support for a free script, that's why I usually get in the "argh, another one" feeling

Btw: link for donations is in my signature.

Hi:
I understand better than you know. And I did read the read me file as with all of the other files, the problem was that I made my changes wrong. I did this--['dddddddd']='admin' Instead of this----['admin']='ddddddd' to all of the files in the settings page. I figured out the sig file thing too afterwards, I assumed that your sig file wasn't clickable as is everyone elses. Any how thanks again and I'll donate you something on the great software around the last week in this month.

Warmly

Signatures are clickable for everyone. You just have to use BBCode tags instead of html tags.
