Receive error message "Can't open the log file (s1n2o3w.txt) for reading! CHMOD this file to 666 (rw-rw-rw)!" when attempting to post a comment. Tried using FileZilla to change the file attributes to 666 on the s1n2o3w.txt file but received this message:
"Status: Set permissions of '/titansnowboard/gbook/s1n2o3w.txt' to '666'
Command: SITE CHMOD 666 s1n2o3w.txt
Response: 500 'SITE CHMOD 666 s1n2o3w.txt': command not understood"
What do to now.. any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Cann't open log file CHMOD this file to 666 (rw-rw-rw)!

You're probably on a Windows server? Try this (it's not for GBook but should work the same):
viewtopic.php?t=1406
If you don't have administrative access you will need to contact your host and ask them to set correct file permissions.

Thank you for the quick response. I am using a windows server. However, I am new to the php scripting and file permissions.. I am on a mac and was not able to follow the instructions from the link you provided before.
I did however get into the file info and saw where it would have been possible to change the read and write permissions but was not able to do so.
If you have any other ideas it would be much help. Thank you.

Ask your host if they can change it for you.
