Integrating message board with MySQL?

Has anyone modified this script to make it work with a MySQL back-end database?

Just to let you know - I don't know of any such integration and would take quite some work (would be probably better to write a new script from the start).
The idea behind MBoard was to be simple and not to require any database, just raw files.
