Hi there

So glad I found MBoard - I was desperate for a forum / message board and this is just the 'bees-knees' - works really well but need to know about integrating it with my current website design.

I have just uploaded MBoard to my server and it works fine but now I would like to make my forum pages look like the rest of my website.

I have read the ReadMe file but it does not cover editing with HTML.

I do know HTML quite well and have tried placing the full code on mboard.php in a table to restict it's width - at the moment it stretches the full browser width - I want all the pages to be restricted to 780 pixels.

I also want to be able to have a left hand menu on all of these pages, just like on the rest of my site - can someone tell me what files need to be edited and how I go about doinf this - I know it's possible as I have seen another MBoard integrated seemlessly into a website.

My MBoard page is - http://www.theweeweb.co.uk/mboard//mboard.php

Please help - I would truly appreciate it.

Thanks
Rab Mullin

All the HTML code should go in header.txt (this code will be displayed ABOVE MBoard code) and footer.txt files (this code will be displayed BELOW MBoard code).

You will find quite a few tips here:

THanks Klemen - but what about including my own CSS file?

Thanks for the support Klemen - it worked beautifully but now I want to be able to keep my own site styles which is controlled by a CSS file - where does this go? in the header.txt or do I insert it in mboard.php or somewhere else?

Thanks for the help - I think this forum code of yours is fantastic and will be recommending it to my friends to add to their websites - I will obviously keep all copyright and links on my forum pages but will also give your site a link from our links page.

Am I allowed to suggest ideas that might help improve the functionality of your PHP forum?

Thanks for your time,
Robert

Hello,

You can just add your own style code to the mboard CSS file.

Sure, I always welcome suggestions. You can either e-mail them or post them here.
