I know this subject has been raised many times on this forum, and is covered in the readme files supplied with the guestbook, but my circumstances are a little strange.
I am hosting with a company that allows add-on domains (if you pay extra) which simply means that you have a subdirectory within your first domains directory that the second domain points to, this all works OK and indeed the guestbook works as it should for the whichever domain names directory that It’s put into, except for the security number image in the second domain (the add-on domain) which I cannot get to work (please note that option 2 does work in the directory e.g. $settings['autosubmit']=2; text format) but setting this to 1 does not work.
I don’t believe the problem is with the guestbook in fact I personally think it’s is brilliant, has anyone got any idea of a workaround, I did bring this problem to the attention of the people who run the site but they say they have many many people using the service with no complaints bla bla bla.
Not being an expert in scripts, php, or even servers, I believe the problem is caused because the second domain is in a subdirectory of another domain (I'm not sure how this effects it but it’s a gut feeling), has anyone ever come across this type of hosting before as it’s all new to me, incidentally the gd_test.php works fine.
Hope I have explained myself clear enough, I won’t give the servers name as things got a little heated at one point.
