I tried to update a HESK 2.5.5 to the current MODS FOR HESK 1.6.1

but....

All the tickets that were ever made and resolved are all over the place. This is not the biggest problem, but there is another one.

If I assign the ticket to another admin and then resolve the ticket...it will work. If I then want ti re-open it following message is displayed:

Error:

Invalid email file

If I assign it back to myself I can reopen the ticket again.

So only if I asign the ticket to somebody else ...close it and then try to re-open it.....It will fail :-(

So I tried to update HESK 2.5 to MOSD FOR HESK 1.4.1 and that works!

Then again to MODS FOR HESK 1.6.1 and the same problem

I hope you can help :-)

What happens if you use 1.5.0 instead of 1.6.1? Does it work then, or does the error still occur? https://github.com/mkoch227/Mods-for-HE ... tag/v1.5.0

If I install 1.5.0 after 1.4.1 I can't select the admin users anymore.

Only unassigned or myself

For now, delete the following line 117 in change_status.php. The email template for this feature wasn't added, and that is why emails are failing.

Hi There

We installed the Mods version of HESK but we are having SO many users complain that they don't have a ticket - because the first thing they see is the login place for an existing ticket before they see the submit a ticket button - the we want to go back to the original interface.

Can you advise how to do this.

Really you should have the submit a ticket button as the first think anyone sees and the login place less obvious, maybe on the right.

Can you advise please how we get it back to the original?

Regards

Steve B

Hi Mike,

The email template for this feature wasn't added, and that is why emails are failing.

What is the template name?

I can just add a template :-)

Thanks :)

You're free to change the HTML/CSS to a way that works for you; however, that is beyond the scope of my support.

Mods for HESK v1.7.0

Mods for HESK v1.7.0 has been released. New features and bugfixes in this release:
  • BUGFIX: Fixed redirect in Mods for HESK installation procedure
  • BUGFIX: Running a new installation of Mods for HESK no longer sets the incorrect status for tickets
  • BUGFIX: Re-opening another user's ticket no longer results in an "Invalid email file" error
  • BUGFIX: An error no longer occurs for some users when the help desk attempts to send an email to a blank email address
  • BUGFIX: The system's MySQL version has been re-added to the settings page
  • The ability to require customers to verify their e-mail address has been added. If a user is submitting a ticket for the first time for their e-mail, the customer must click an activation link to verify their e-mail. Once verified, the e-mail can be used in the future without having to re-verify. Tickets created, but are waiting verification will not be available to staff.
  • Custom fields now support multiple languages via the "text.php" and/or "custom-text.php" language files. Date and multiselect custom fields have also been added.
  • The language dropdown now appears on the header of the help desk, rather than on the submit/view ticket pages.
  • Improved feedback during installation process when an error occurs.
Note to All Users
There have been database modifications in this release, so all users must run the update script. Upgrade/installation instructions are available at http://mods-for-hesk.mkochcs.com

For those who are currently using Mods for HESK: If you have about 5-10 minutes of time, could you please fill out a short survey at http://goo.gl/forms/11xKfgr5M6? It will help tell me how the mod is working for users, as well as a general idea of how many people are using this mod.

Did you run the installation scripts under http://<path to your helpdesk>/install, then click on "Install / Upgrade Mods for HESK"?

If you click "v1.6.1" then "No Previous Version", a database error would occur since the installer tried to run the 1.6.1 scripts a second time which can fail. I'll try to write up a cleanup script tonight that will revert all Mods for HESK database changes so that you can run the installer again.

If you execute each of the SQL queries below (each statement ends in a semicolon (;)), it should clean up anything Mods for HESK created, so you can try the installation again. Then, reinstall Mods for HESK, selecting "No previous version" when installing. I recommend making a backup of your current database in case anything goes wrong.

Code: Select all

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_statuses`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='autorefresh') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `autorefresh`;

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_denied_ips`;

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_denied_emails`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_tickets') AND name='parent') ALTER TABLE `hesk_tickets` DROP COLUMN `parent`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='active') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `active`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='can_manage_settings') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `can_manage_settings`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='default_notify_customer_email') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `default_notify_customer_email`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='notify_note_unassigned') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `notify_note_unassigned`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='can_change_notification_settings') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `can_change_notification_settings`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_notes') AND name='edit_note') ALTER TABLE `hesk_notes` DROP COLUMN `edit_note`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_notes') AND name='number_of_edits') ALTER TABLE `hesk_notes` DROP COLUMN `number_of_edits`;

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_attachments') AND name='note_id') ALTER TABLE `hesk_attachments` DROP COULUMN `note_id`;

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_settings`;
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_verified_emails`;

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_pending_verification_emails`;

DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `hesk_stage_tickets`;

thanks for the help!

Error:
IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name='autorefresh') ALTER TABLE `hesk_users` DROP COLUMN `autorefresh`;

MySQL meldet: Dokumentation
#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM syscolumns WHERE id = object_id('hesk_users') AND name=' at line 1

If I have "No previous version" in stating the error appears:
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at ......../install/install_functions.inc.php:628) in ........./install/freshInstall.php on line 51

I have now manually called every installer now works the login
