I re-uploaded the linkman Zip file to the phpjunkyard sevrer, try downloading it again and see if it helps?

I also use WS_FTP (pro), it shouldn't be a problem there.

Hello,

I redownloaded as suggested and emptied my /links3 directory as to make sure I didnt have any write-over problems. Uploaded new files. Set permissions as required.

admin.php loads - good
addlink.php loads - bad (source code)
links.php loads - bad (source code)
settings.php loads - good
approve.php loads - ???????????????? (all question marks)
pagerank.php loads - good

from another post, would linkman_17_questionmarks.zip be a solution?

not sure if you read any previous posts but DC has a working version on my server in /links2

Brad thats the same problem here only some files and the same ones you mention show up as source or damaged but here's the odd part.
Only on your server, if I upload that to my test server its all fine no problem.

So what is dif on your server then mine well for one your server has and uses PURE FTP I feel this may be part of our problem because as I said works fine on my test server, more on that when im done with this mystery.

Waiting to here back from Klem for now do not do a thing just test what I did
try loading links play with it.

Thanks, I wont touch /links2 as I know its functioning. I will add as many /linksX as needed for myself to fiddle with if needed.

I'm going to upload your version of files to /links4 and see how my FTP'ing of working files acts. Will post afteward with what happened....

Somehow, the solution is in your version of the files DC!

I took your files from /links2, created /links4 directory, uploaded those and chmod as required.

admin works
addlink works
links works

Does it sound feasible that your alterations in addlink.php are the key to my dilemma?

I inquired about this linkman_17_questionmarks.zip a few posts back.

I seem to have a full working solution, actually have it on the site running and have just finished testing submission, backlink checking etc. etc. All seems to be working perfectly as of now. I replaced what was in my /links with what DC offered up. Works beautifully now in /links!

At this point I hate to jeopardize what "is" working for at least my situation. Kind of a "if its not broke, dont try and fix it" spot I'm in now. I dont mind trying that questionmarks.zip file in another folder though if you'd like me too?

I think a HUGE answer to a possible unknown problem lies in DC's version of files. Why I dont know as I'm not literate in PHP. But his files solve my issues as they are different than whats downloadable. Especially the addlink.php file.

I feel I owe DC a slice of PIZZA, maybe even a whole PIZZA

My setup in case you'd like to see it working, this ties into the shopping carts documents so I can retain the look of the site. I use iframes in these documents to call the needed files for LinkMan.

My Link Exchange Form - http://www.sextoyscentral.net/index.php ... c&docId=10

My Links Page - http://www.sextoyscentral.net/index.php ... oc&docId=9

Let me know if you'd like me to still try the questionmarks.zip, I dont mind if it could potentially help you make changes or help others down the road...

Yes please try that version Klem suggested, as now im curious and by all meens if you like do shoot me a slice that would be great I do love pizza its my late nite food of choice when coding into the wee hours ...

To be safe as to not mess up what you have working put it in the bad dir where all seems to fail and see if it makes a dif and fixes the problems.

I have now tried http://www.phpjunkyard.com/extras/linkm ... nmarks.zip in /links3 folder.

Seems to work ok, not sure what the differences are in these files and DC's files unless I were to use winmerge but does appear to work ok. Or what the difference is in these and the normal ones offered for download?

So has anyone found what the underlying problem is/was ? Just curious

It seems to be a problem (or a new feature?) with Zlib library version 1.2.1.2, I'll need to check it further.
