Admin.php doesnt open I get 404 Error Page

I am trying to get into the admin panel but keep getting error that it doesnt exist??? i have installed the script ok, i have php5 above installed on the server etc

the path i am using to log in: www.mysite.com/linkman/admin.php can you assist please...

Copied from the readme.htm file:

If you have done all this your link exchange should work now. In your browser open folder where you have installed LinkMan, for example:
http://www.yourdomain.com/linkman

Type in the password you set in settings.php, click Enter admin panel and you are in the admin panel! Here you can remove unwanted links and run a check to see if sites still have your reciprocal link.

So, if readme says open
http://www.yourdomain.com/linkman
why are you trying to open
http://www.yourdomain.com/linkman/admin.php
?

I appreciate the response, please have a look at the quote above also, i just followed the instructions...anyhow...

The issue is that i do not see a admin access page for password entry? when i type the following: www.yadayada.com/linkman ...... what i get is the index.php loading from /linkman ..... not an access page for admin panel?

In that case you are not using the original LinkMan script, try asking the author of the mod as I don't know how the mod works nor can I provide support for anything but my original scripts.

Thanks i didnt realize, well just downloaded this script from: http://www.phpjunkyard.com/download.php?script=manager now this is the authentic script... i installed it...works fine took me not even 3 mins & i have been at the other script for good few hours...damn!!!!

I noticed in the read me file, you mention 3 or so gif files BUT with my down load theres only one image file delete.gif? is that ok...let us know.

Yes, only 1 gif, it's an error in the readme.
