spam text length

Hi

I have guestbook v1.43 and must say I am very happy with it, I have had lots of attempts to spam my guestbook but the only spam that gets through are ones entered by humans,
Automated spam seems unable to place posts in my guestbook, thanks to Klemen Stirn’s excellent bit of software.
My question, is it possible to restrict the length of text in the post, say four or five lines of text, if its more the post gets rejected, the reason for restricting the length of the text is to stop entries with line after line of text pointing at porn sites.
There maybe something already within the software that stops this, if so can you point me in the right direction for implementing such restrictions.

Well that’s strange because within fifteen minutes of placing the above post in this forum I have just checked my guestbook and guess what there is just such a post, I have left it on the guestbook take a look at www.pikefamilytree.co.uk

Update to 1.5. This kind of posts should be banned if you have JunkMark activated and the limit set to 90 or less.

Thanks for the reply, I have upgraded my guestbook to v1.5 will see what happens and will let you know if v1.5 stops the spam.
