I had Hesk 2.x old installation.
After the upgrade to v3.6.4, Hesk could not send any email replies.
SMTP test gave the following error:
"2025-08-27 11:58:12 SMTP ERROR: Failed to connect to server: Connection timed out (110)"
After many attempts to understand a reason of this problem, I noticed that "SMTP Timeout" parameter was set to "0" or empty value (I don't remember exactly now).
I set "30" for "SMTP Timeout" and now SMTP server works correctly.
May I suggest for future Hesk version to show an advise if SMTP test fails and timeout is not specified or zero?
P.S. I use Gmail services on my domain. So I use smtp.gmail.com , port 587, encryption = "TLS", Basic mode for Authentication. And special app password created for Plesk in Gmail admin settings.
"SMTP Timeout" is 0 after the upgrade to Hesk 3.x.x

Not sure what went wrong during the update (the smtp_timeout should default to 10 if an invalid value is found during the upgrade).
But anyway, thanks for the heads up, we will make sure in the future that the timeout 0 is not a valid entry.
