Hi,
Using 2.4 version on an Ubuntu machine.
How do I make my e-mail template changes to take effect? After my changes were saved in \language\en\emails\new_ticket.txt I tried restarting Apache, but the template text is still the old one.

Applying changes in e-mail templates

Re: Applying changes in e-mail templates
Those are simple text files that need to be opened in a text editor, modified and saved.
No restarts necessary or anything. Changes take effect immediately.
If your template files still contain unchanged text, you didn't edit them correctly?

Re: Applying changes in e-mail templates
Now that's the strange thing. The txt template has indeed been changed and saved on the hosting machine. Looking at the txt file now, I see that we removed the text 'within 24 to 48 hours' - our intention is to reply much faster...
Could it be the old template somehow being 'cached'? I even tried renaming the template file to new_ticket_2.txt and expected some error but I still received the auto-reply properly. I'm lost here!

HESK doesn't cache it, but your server might.
Check with your host if you have any PHP caching enabled and if they can disable it for your HESK folder.

Sorry that was just me being lost in the Ubuntu environment, for which I have to Google every single move.
The file was present in both the Downloads folder and the var-folder, and guess where I made my changes at first? Thanks for a great software and excellent support forum.
