If you're having problems a new installation in a new folder might be a good thing to try.

When you get it to work simply copy your old "entries.txt" file to the new guestbook and you will keep all posts.

We recently changed hosts and the security number check stopped working after the switch.

The graphical security number ($settings['autosubmit']=1) doesn't display at all. The numeric security number ($settings['autosubmit']=2) displays a number but will not match the input.

gd_test.php works.

Your troubleshooting guide suggests that the host check SESSIONS settings and their reply was, "What settings?, gd setting is enabled." What should I tell them?

Upload session test files to your server and post them here:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=83

It's likely PHP sessions (in general, not GBook-related) aren't working properly.
