Syntax error, line 1141

Post by c22sail »

Script URL: http://www.c22sail.com/c22gbook/
Version of script: 1.7
Hosting company: godaddy
URL of phpinfo.php:
URL of session_test.php:
What terms did you try when SEARCHING for a solution: Syntax error, line 1141

Write your message below:

This has been working. I temporarily moved the folder to a storage area to do some work on site. Moved the folder back and this is what I get:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/content/c/2/2/c22ted/html/c22gbook/gbook.php on line 1141

I have re-installed everything, set the permissions for apptmp, banned_ip.txt and my entry.txt files. I changed nothing from a working gbook except to move the entire folder then move it back.

I have no idea what this could be, maybe Klemen can help you.
Or maybe you could put the gbook.php file you have on your server in a zip-file and put it somewhere on your server for me to download. Than I can take a closer look at it.

Henrie
I do not monitor the Gbook forums regularly anymore since I do not use the Gbook script myself anymore for a long time. But it helped me a lot in learning to understand php.

Hello c22sail,

You did not need to put all the files there, only the gbook.php file.
I took a look at it and the file gbook.php is truncated. All code after line 1141 is missing (it should have 1361 lines)

You should re-upload the gbook.php file from the original zip package you downloaded from http://www.phpjunkyard.com.

Greetings,
Henrie

Actually, I may know where the problem lies but it will be too difficult for me to tackle. I installed Joomla in the root and I now have an .htaccess file which I did not have before. My guess is that is the problem. I don't intent to play with it as I don't want to crash my entire site.

Thanks for your help.

I don't see how a .htaccess file could delete code out of a php file.

But if you already tried to download the GBook zip-package from this site to get a complete version of the gbook.php to replace the bad one than I don't have any other ideas.

Thanks Henrie. I did download a new set as you instructed. Very strange indeed. Thanks for all your help.

It is possible a software installed by your host on the server is truncating gbook.php, you might want to check with your hosting company about that.
