Istalling Hesk with Xampp

I have installed xampp and i am learning php. I wanted to see how Hesk works and I have installed it as follows:

1. I have created a folder "Hesk" in C:\Xampp\Htdocs\Hesk
2. I have accessed Hesk "install.php" from my browser. That is "http://localhost/hesk/install/install.php"
3. I have followed the steps as stated but i can't get beyond Database settings

I get this error:

"Database connection failed!
Double-check all the information below. If not sure contact your hosting company for the correct information!

MySQL said: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond."

Well I cannot remember putting any password for MySQL database in xampp. And how can i check if my xampp mySQL has a password.

Any help will be much appreciated.

You will need to use a tool like phpMyAdmin (should be included in xampp) to create a MySQL username and database then grant access to the database to the user.
